An ordinance is an authoritative order; a statute or regulation enacted by a municipal government. Once adopted, an ordinance is codified and entered into a municipality's legally binding Ordinance Book. Gregg Township recognizes Ordinances as the avenue through which local law is adopted.

Gregg Township is in the process of having our Ordinances codified.

Codification (law), the process of forming a legal code (i.e. formalizing the laws of a jurisdiction by setting them out in a book of law, a codex). Once this process if finished, there will be a link to the codified ordinances of Gregg Township. In the meantime, if you would like access to any ordinance, please contact Jennifer Snyder, Township Secretary.
